The Senior Services Center of Will County held it’s 26th Annual Gala on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet.  This year’s gala encompassed a “Life’s a Beach” theme, featuring an exquisite dinner, live entertainment by SHiNDiG, a silent auction, and a live auction with Lynne Lichtenauer and WRDR’s Mary Lancaster and Natalie Manley as auctioneers.  Founded in 1966, the Senior Services Center of Will County, a non-profit organization, has been dedicated to improving the independence and self-sufficiency of Will County’s aging population by offering a comprehensive range of programs designed to enhance the quality of life for seniors and their families.  These programs include a care coordination unit, education, prevention, socialization and mobility.  It is through donations and events such as the Annual Awards Gala that the Center can serve Will County’s seniors.
