Managers of WRDR, Katie Napier and Christy Ely, attended the final year of the American Girl Fashion Show held by Easter Seals Joliet Region, Inc. this past Saturday, November 19, 2016. The American Girl Fashion Show is a fun-filled event for girls and their families, friends, and favorite dolls. Easter Seals Joliet Region hosted 3 shows at the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate in Joliet. Each show featured an elegant meal, door prizes, raffles and an experience of learning how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture and girls’ individual styles. Christy Ely’s daughter, Addy, and niece, Harper, were models. Proceeds benefit children with disabilities at Easter Seals Regional Pediatric Center. WRDR is delighted to participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties 2016 Thanksgiving Food Drive. Thank you to Tom Lancaster for his involvement with this organization and organizing the collection here at Wermer, Rogers, Doran & Ruzon, LLC. WRDR attended Martinis & Mistletoe to kick off the holiday season with the Council for Working Women on the evening of Monday November 14, 2016. Yummy Martinis were enjoyed (the Cherry Pie Martini being the favorite of WRDR) and the wonderful voice of Jim Bulanda, “Tribute to Frank” entertained the crowd. The proceeds from the night will help support the CWW and its Scholarship Fund to assist working or recently unemployed women attend college to increase their skills to advance in their business field, begin a new career or re-enter the workforce. A special congratulations to WRDR’s Christy Ely on winning the Gift Card Tree (free donuts for 1 year from Milano and any other goodies she would like to share will be appreciated by the firm)! Wermer, Rogers, Doran and Ruzon, LLC spent the evening of October 29, 2016 dining and dancing at the Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center’s 23rd Annual Gala. The elegant evening was themed around Harvest Time in Napa Valley and honored Dan Stevenson, CFA and Mukund Komanduri, MD, with the 2016 Founders’ Awards. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Cook for joining us at this wonderful event supporting the Emergency Department Renovation at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. The Senior Services Center of Will County held it’s 26th Annual Gala on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet. This year’s gala encompassed a “Life’s a Beach” theme, featuring an exquisite dinner, live entertainment by SHiNDiG, a silent auction, and a live auction with Lynne Lichtenauer and WRDR’s Mary Lancaster and Natalie Manley as auctioneers. Founded in 1966, the Senior Services Center of Will County, a non-profit organization, has been dedicated to improving the independence and self-sufficiency of Will County’s aging population by offering a comprehensive range of programs designed to enhance the quality of life for seniors and their families. These programs include a care coordination unit, education, prevention, socialization and mobility. It is through donations and events such as the Annual Awards Gala that the Center can serve Will County’s seniors. Click the link below for a couple of snapshots of the event.

Members of WRDR recently attended the 27th annual Franciscan Autumn Feast that took place on Sunday October 23rd, 2016. The event took place at the historic Patrick C. Haley Mansion in Joliet to support the Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate. Over 500 non-perishable food items were donated by attendees and distributed to local food pantries in Joliet. WRDR congratulates the Sisters on their 27th annual event. We look forward to the 28th!
